Youth and its accompanying ecstasy are the central themes of Alex Hodor-Lee’s photography. Originally from Manhattan, and formally trained as a journalist, Alex’s photographs seek to untangle and reorganize the exhilarating chaos of urban life. Paired with his analog film approach, Alex’s work is an incisive study of youth culture with a tender gaze that celebrates individuals and the bonds of friendship.

Before working as a full-time freelance photographer, Alex previously held roles at American Vogue, W magazine, and Document Journal. He holds a master's degree in science journalism from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism.
